Xylo, a 34-year-old African American nonbinary person, is a fit and tech-savvy XR Designer based in Portland, OR. They rely heavily on efficient organization tools to streamline their creative and professional life.

DAILY CHALLENGE
Traditional whiteboards, though versatile, require continual manual interaction (e.g., writing and erasing), which feels clunky and unintuitive for Xylo. Current tools, such as apps and keyboards, fail to replicate the natural ease of speaking directly to a device for instant, seamless updates.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Individuals like Xylo need a more integrated and natural way to manage their schedules, tasks, and life organization without relying solely on manual, hands-on interactions or fragmented digital tools. Current solutions lack the intuitive simplicity of speaking aloud to make real-time updates, posing barriers to efficiency and flow.

XR PRODUCT / EXPERIENCE CONCEPT
The design of an extended reality (XR) experience centered around a versatile whiteboard "The Magic Board" that integrates AI, voice commands, and mobile app control. This system will provide mostly hands-free, visually rich, and adaptive life management support that feels as natural as speaking to a trusted friend / assistant.

THE MAGIC BOARD
A large double-sided, mobile whiteboard with a sleek silver frame on wheels, combining tactile familiarity with cutting-edge AI technology. Powered by an interactive voice assistant (i.e. ChatGPT), it generates and updates schedules, graphs, charts, and other organizational visuals in real time based on spoken commands. This ensures an intuitive, human-centered experience. Features proactive engagement, dialogue, makes suggestions and asks clarifying questions to optimize plans. Acts as a morning assistant: wakes users up with personalized audio and displays the day’s plan to set a productive tone.

COMPANION SMARTPHONE APP
Remote control functionality to turn the board on/off or make subtle changes on the go. Push notifications and mobile interactivity allow for on-the-fly adjustments, ensuring continuity throughout the day.
